The statistics show that the 2022 January-October period had an 88.14% increase when compared to last year. The number of foreign visitors who came to Turkey became 39.613.471 and 2.16% of that are without a stay and only came for a day.
The regions that have a high number of foreign visits are;
For the October period when the numbers are examined according to nationalities foreign visitors mostly came from the Russian Federation. The numbers are; 15.99% meaning 767.814 visitors in total. Furthermore, they were followed by the citizens of Germany with a number of 15.54% meaning 746.192 visitors. The third on the list are the citizens of England with 8.08%, meaning 388.017.
Furthermore, when a general review is made for 2022 January-October period, the 3 countries on the list for foreign arrivals are;
- Germany - 13.31% - 5.274.045 visitors
- Russia - 11.69% - 4.632.712 visitors
- England - 8.09% - 3.205.288 visitors
