Housing Sale Statistics in August 2022

Housing sale statistics in August have been announced by TURKSTAT. Foreigner housing sales fell 10.1% in August compared to the same month the previous year totaling 5 thousand 273.

In August, the share of total house sales to foreigners in all sales was 4.3%. Thus Antalya ranked first with 1,814 houses sold to foreigners. Istanbul followed Antalya with the sales of 1,750 properties. With 317 real estate sales, Mersin became the province that sold the most residences to foreign investors after Istanbul.

Housing sales to foreigners increased by 44.6% in the January-August period compared to the same period of the previous year and became 44 thousand 595. In August, most of the houses were sold to foreigners in Turkey by the citizens of the Russian Federation.

Housing sale statistics in August show that the citizens of the Russian Federation bought 1,238 houses in Turkey. Iranians follow the citizens of the Russian Federation with 633 house sales. While a total of 417 residences were sold to Iraqi foreigners, in addition to these, residences were sold to citizens of many other countries in Turkey.
