Emphasizing that going to Ankara, Eskisehir and Istanbul by train is now more comfortable, easier and more economical than other means of transportation for Konya residents, Erdogan said, “Now, we are taking this opportunity one step further, extending it to Karaman. We are starting a new era by opening the Karaman-Konya high-speed train line. I hope first Karaman-Ulukisla, then Mersin and Adana, then Osmaniye and Gaziantep will follow this step. When we add the Ankara-Sivas line, which is still on trial runs, all four corners of our country are now accessible for Konya by high-speed train”.
“The high-speed train line will contribute our country 63 million Turkish liras in many areas this year alone. Besides, the investment cost of the Karaman-Konya high-speed train is 1 billion 390 million Turkish liras. I wish the train line to be beneficial for our cities and country.”
