According to the statement of the General Directorate General of Civil Aviation, 3 countries, including Turkey, have been included in the “EU Digital COVID Certificate” system. With the decision published in the Official Journal dated 20 August 2021, the European Union Commission announced the recognition of Covid-19 vaccine certificates of Turkey, Ukraine and Macedonia. No additional testing or restrictions will be applied to people who get BioNTech- Pfizer, Moderna, Johnson and Johnson, AstraZeneca vaccines and have been 2 weeks since the last dose. It is also valid for EU countries as well as Iceland, Norway and Switzerland.
Turkey Citizens Can Travel to 27 EU Countries
Turkey has also been included in the EU Digital COVID Certificate Regulation, which started to be valid as of the first of July in 27 European Union countries. Turkish Citizens will be able to travel to 27 EU countries if they have a vaccination certificate and a valid visa.

The statement regarding Turkey’s involvement in the EU Digital COVID Certificate Regulation was announced to the public by being published on the Official Journal of the European Union dated 20 August 2021.
EU Citizens Can Also Travel to Turkey
Turkey has been officially included in the vaccination certificate system prepared by the EU to facilitate movement during the pandemic. The “EU Digital COVID Certificate” can be get free of charge in digital or paper form. Turkish citizens are able to get their vaccination cards via the e-Nabiz or HES applications. The vaccination certificate application, which will be valid during travels within the borders of the EU, provides safe and easy travel.
